For boaters who want to take their Crownline experience to a new location, choosing the perfect marina can be tough. There are plenty of factors to consider for boaters of all levels and incomes, so it’s important to do some research before making a decision. Here is our list of some of the best marinas in the country.
David L. Clinch Marina—Traverse City, Michigan
Grand Traverse Bay is one of the most beloved boating spots in the country. The area is gorgeous, especially in the spring and summer, thanks to thousands of cherry trees, natural greenery and beaches. The city is a combination of small-town comfort and big-city amenities including shops, restaurants, breweries and seasonal festivals. Even better, the slips won’t cost you an arm and a leg.
BONUS: If you’re interested in other lakes in the area, Torch Lake is one of the most beautiful around. It’s a go-to spot for Crownline photoshoots. We recommend Dewitt Marine in Bellaire for a great place to buy, rent or keep your boat.
Roche Harbor Marina—San Juan Island, Washington
Roche Harbor is perhaps the most authentic way to experience the incredible beauty of the Pacific Northwest. It’s tucked away from the bustle of everyday life, accessible mainly by boat (or airplane if you want to take the easy way out), and it offers a unique charm that you won’t find anywhere else. This is a lovely spot to “rough it” without actually roughing it. The island is great for boating, fishing, hiking, whale watching, triathlons, wine tasting, and taking in the Northwest culture. Roche Harbor sits on the Northwest side of the island and is close to the town of Friday Harbor. If you want to be closer to the action, try the busier marina there.
Bergers Marina—Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri
There are loads of marinas around the Ozarks. It’s really hard to pick a bad one, but Bergers has been a historically cherished choice among locals and out-of-towners alike. With an exceptionally talented team of mechanics at the ready, your boat is in great hands. Bergers is also located next to nice shops, tasty restaurants and The Ridge Golf Course. Crownline has a top ten dealer here too! All About Boats, their team is dedicated to provide our customers with the best experience from the point of sale, to the service that we provided, and everything in-between.
Marina Del Rey Marina—Los Angeles, California
If you can swing it, Marina Del Ray is a truly amazing place to keep your boat. As the largest constructed harbor in North America, it offers unbeatable amenities and is a favorite of the rich and famous. It’s an expensive spot, but offers virtually all you could ever dream of in a marina. If you’re a foodie, Marina del Rey should be on your bucket list.
Bonus: The nearest Crownline Dealer is only about 60 Miles away from this beautiful Marina. Inland Boat Center has been in buisness for over 32 years and offers Summer Valet Service and storage!
Inner Harbor Marina—Baltimore, Maryland
The Baltimore waterfront is fast becoming one of the best in North America. With top-of-the-line restaurants, shopping and easy city access, Inner Harbor is the best marina in the area. Take in the history of Baltimore by keeping your boat right where the action happened hundreds of years ago—and is still happening today. It’s also a great family harbor. The world-famous Baltimore Aquarium and Maryland Science Center are close by. Riverside Marine is our Crownline Dealer near there, they are a full service marina also, with both wet slips and lifts slips.
Experience the glamorous Miami lifestyle in the most centrally located marina in the city. It’s close to some of the best restaurants in the country, the beautiful Klipsch Amphitheater at Bayfront Park, and is next to all the world-famous Miami nightlife. Similar to Marina Del Rey, Miamarina is a hot spot for celebs and the wealthy. Obviously, it’s expensive, but it sure is a great time.
Bonus: Carefree Boat Sales of South Florida is a 5 star Crownline dealer only 30 miles away. See them for all your Crownline Sales, Services and Parts needs.
Regatta Pointe Marina—Palmetto, Florida
If you want to enjoy the Gulf in comfort—without all the hustle, bustle and high prices—Regatta Pointe is a great place to do it. Palmetto offers a lovely location and access to the Gulf on the Manatee River. It’s a great way to get away from the craziness of the populated areas of Florida. Plus, the Riverhouse Reef & Grill is a delicious and affordable place to eat. The amenities are endless. They offer free WIFI, a salon, and a fitness center!
