Lake Ouachita winds its way through the Ouachita mountains, filling countless coves and providing scenic views for anyone who visits the lake. Hundreds of islands and miles upon miles of undeveloped shoreline work together to make this place truly natural and provide an exciting sense of adventure. Located next to Hot Springs National Park, Lake Ouachita has it all. It’s a gorgeous area for a lovely Crownline vacation.
The classy comfort of a Crownline boat may seem to be in stark contrast to a more natural wilderness area, but the two actually compliment each other quite nicely. Loaded with some of the most comfortable cabins in the boating industry, Crownline’s cuddys and sport yachts are perfect for some boat camping. Let the gentle rocking of the water lull you to sleep after a nice fire on a secluded island. That should sound like the perfect evening to just about anyone.
For those that enjoy staying at hotels or airbnb’s the town of Hot Springs is only minutes away and is loaded with great spots for you to hang out, shop, eat, or explore. Hot Springs National Park is the obvious attraction that you need to visit. With the local cozy hot springs providing the foundation for opulent hotels and shops, it’s a paradise that is much different than Lake Ouachita, but still one that you’ll love to visit.
When looking for food, BBQ is the local cuisine. McClard’s and Smokin in Style are the town favorites. McClard’s a classic spot for ribs, brisket and beer. Smokin in Style is a family run restaurant with plenty of seating and some incredibly good homemade sauces. It’s not fair to pick between the two, so try both. Grab a to-go box and snack on some ribs while cruising the lake in your Crownline. If the food gets a little cold, heat it up on one of our on-board grills.
Lake Ouachita is a land of adventure, good food and plenty of fun. The lake is large, fun to explore and a delightful place to get the best out of your Crownline.
