West Frankfort, Illinois (September 8, 2022) — Crownline proudly introduces the newest addition to the highly successful and popular XSS outboard series, the new 250 XSS.
As with all Crownline models, this boat features sexy style lines strategically placed below the rub rail to create shadows and reflect light, and boasts a gelcoat finish that’s the envy of the industry. The 250 XSS is the smallest of the XSS outboard line, 24 feet 6 inches in length, 26’ 10” with engine, and features the same customer-driven standards that take the guess work out of buying a boat. All of the important features are built-in! Crownline also provides an abundance of optional choices to make the boat your own – engine, gelcoat pattern and color, interior color, wakeboard tower or arch, and much more.
The 250 XSS is the perfect family boat for a lake home or for those who like the option of trailering to many different locations. A Redline aluminum trailer (with swing tongue, Dexter torsion axles and brakes, black aluminum wheels, diamond plate fenders and LED lighting) is standard equipment and beautifully compliments this boat.
Crownline always puts your safety first. The bow and cockpit are deep and roomy, with stainless steel grab rails and handles placed within easy reach. There’s a full-length swim platform with soft touch mat. And Crownline’s patented next-generation performance F.A.S.T. Tab® hull design, one of the most efficient running surfaces on the water, not only increases planing efficiency, but brings stability in high-speed turns for a safe and comfortable ride.
The 250 XSS bow is deep, for a smooth, secure ride, with 16 degree reclining seats for supreme comfort on even the choppiest waters. A cooler is tucked away in the forward bow and is easily accessed via a hands-free cushion. There’s deep bow storage underneath the seating, also with hands-free access. Handy fender storage is located on the starboard side, and there’s more storage in the bow floor. (Storage areas throughout the boat are finished with an impact resistant, non-marring coating.)
The cockpit was designed with J-shape seating to maximize the leg room and entertainment area. Two Gen-2 bucket seats feature a fingertip slide / swivel control and a beautiful Gen-2 logo on the seat back. At aft, a large, comfortable full-length electric sun lounge adjusts from fully flat to upright, and every position in between, with the touch of a finger. Perfect for relaxing and enjoying the sun. And there’s a huge, finished storage area beneath to stow away bulky items like canvas or large carry-on coolers. Platinum Mist woven snap-in mat provides comfort and is an additional safety feature.
The fully enclosed head compartment includes a porta potti, vanity with solid surface countertop and a vessel sink, handheld shower, opening portlight and head door with storage netting. A convenient feature that everyone will definitely appreciate!
The 250 XSS performs like a dream with the standard Mercury 250 XL engine, turning in a performance of 51-53 MPH (based on conditions) and turning heads the entire time!
Additional standard equipment not previously mentioned are a premium Wet Sounds stereo with eight (8) splashproof Wet Sounds speakers. Two of these are located on the transom as part of Crownline’s Social Swim™ Transom design. A standard portable table can be used in either the bow area or in the cockpit. Standard canvas includes a color matched bimini top and color coordinated mooring cover. The helm features a Garmin 7” touchscreen with LakeVu G3 map and an extra Blue Chart chip. There’s a convenient handheld shower at stern, and much more!
